Lobe Cliniques – Human Resources Direction

THE ROLE

As a member of the Executive Committee, the incumbent plays a strategic role within a matrix organizational structure. This position is grounded in a human capital strategy aligned with the evolution and growth of the clinic network.

Through influential leadership, the incumbent will articulate a clear vision to elevate the Human Resources function. Relying on best practices and engagement tools that foster employee involvement, this leader will ensure strong alignment between human resources and Lobe’s business strategy.

Key Priority Areas Include:

  • Building a Human Resources function capable of effectively supporting the Québec network and its national growth;
  • Contributing to the creation of training clinics and ensuring their alignment with the patient experience and employee development;
  • Overseeing performance management and harmonizing policies and programs related to recruitment, organizational development, employee engagement, and leadership development;
  • Building trust‑based relationships with the executive team and associate partners across the network, grounded in the organization’s values.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Development of the HR Function:

  • Design a flexible and adaptive HR function that supports a matrix organization by clearly defining roles and responsibilities for each team member.
  • Promote a corporate culture rooted in the organization’s values: engagement, creativity, optimism, uniqueness, tenacity, collaboration, and rigor.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

Driving a Modern HR Function:

  • Implement innovative initiatives, including the use of advanced technologies for talent management, employee wellness programs, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion.
  • Design and manage training and professional development programs, including training clinics and partnerships with academic institutions.
  • Foster a culture of excellence focused on employees across the network.
  • Establish succession planning for key roles within the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support corporate initiatives.

Adapting to a Matrix Organization:

  • Develop capabilities in cross‑functional project management, foster interdepartmental collaboration, and ensure effective communication across organizational units.
  • Standardize HR processes, systems, and tools at the group level while accounting for local realities.
  • Communicate information clearly to both Executive Committee members and employees across diverse environments and regions.

Additional HR Team Responsibilities:

  • Provide motivational leadership in recruitment, selection, and onboarding practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian labour laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee relations and conflict resolution. Develop talent retention and career management strategies.

  • Analyze HR performance indicators and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Oversee the administrative management of personnel files and employee benefits.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Career Path

  • University degree in Human Resources Management. membership in the CHRP (CRHA) professional order is considered an asset;
  • Proven experience in senior Human Resources leadership roles within complex, multi‑site, matrix service environments.
  • Strong ability to interact strategically and present effectively to executive leadership and diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership development at all levels, supporting effective succession management
  • Influential leadership style, strategic mindset, and strong mobilizing energy, enabling collaboration across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive and lasting working relationships.
  • Strategic acumen in presenting recommendations, defending positions, and managing professional relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to act as a true business partner to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Well‑developed political acumen, enabling a clear understanding of stakeholder dynamics and acting with tact and diplomacy.
  • Uncompromising integrity and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Canadian labour laws and regulations.
  • Full professional proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.
