Jayson Phelps, B. Admin, CPC, MSCE – Partner

Jayson is an Executive Search Consultant specializing in broader public, private and not for profit sector recruitment. For the past 15 years, he has partnered with a wide array of municipalities, crown corporations, agencies, academic institutions and ministries to fill senior leadership roles. Actively involved in the full search cycle from discovery to transition, Jayson works closely with hiring representatives and other stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate candidates are presented and that their motivations, skills, and abilities align with those of the organization.

Jayson is involved throughout the entire search process, working closely with research associates to ensure that all target markets are penetrated. Among Jayson’s commitments will be: leveraging national networks of contacts through direct recruitment; contacting potential passive candidates; marketing and presenting the opportunity and organization; reviewing the shortlist with the selection committee; facilitating the final interview process and assisting with selection; negotiating the offer of employment; developing career transition strategies for successful candidates; and strategizing onboarding processes.

Jayson has a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and has completed the course requirements to qualify as a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP). Jayson is a Director on the Board for the Rotary Club of Toronto, a member of the Pinnacle Society – The Premier Consortium of 75 Industry-Leading Recruiters in North America – and a member of the Rotary Aboriginal Services Committee. In addition, he has been actively involved with Big Brothers/Sisters of Toronto for more than a decade.
