POSITION DESCRIPTION

Recruitment Context

SIGMA‑RH is accelerating its geographic expansion and extending its reach into new industry sectors. To support this growth strategy, senior leadership is seeking to appoint a Global Sales Leader.

Reporting directly to the President, the incumbent will act as the architect and driver of the group’s global sales strategy. The role also involves building and maintaining strategic relationships with key prospective clients and major ecosystem players.

Challenges and Objectives

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy required to support sustained growth. This includes the deployment of sales performance indicators, opportunity management, sales coaching, and close alignment with marketing and product teams.

  • Working in close collaboration with teams in Quebec and Paris, as well as with partners and market enablers, to create new business opportunities in North American and European markets, across both traditional and emerging sectors.
  • Developing a strong command of SIGMA‑RH’s complex, modular HCM solutions in order to clearly articulate their value to prospective clients.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of SIGMA‑RH solutions.
  • Building long‑term client relationships to increase customer lifetime value within a SaaS business model.

Roles and Responsibilities

Overview

  • Present and sell SIGMA‑RH’s solutions.
  • Design and execute a business plan to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and scale the sales organization in line with company growth.
  • Act as a liaison across SIGMA‑RH teams to ensure a consistently high‑quality client experience.
  • Own and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze markets and data to identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers and key enterprise accounts.

As a member of the Executive Management Team, the incumbent will provide leadership across two main dimensions: sales execution and sales strategy. The role includes oversight, coordination, and evaluation of business opportunities.

  • Define and deploy performance indicators aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Act as a leader and coach for sales teams in Quebec and France, contributing to recruitment, performance management, and expansion beyond current geographic markets.
  • Play an active role in complex RFP and tender responses.
  • Contribute to customer experience strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure regular reporting and clear communication with the Executive Committee.
  • Coordinate critical deliverables with engineering and product teams to ensure project success.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions as a member of the Executive Committee.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • University degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable leadership role.
  • Proven success in strategic business development and selling complex HCM / HRIS solutions to large public‑ or private‑sector organizations.
  • Experience in a high‑growth technology scale‑up (HRIS, HCM, ERP, SaaS) operating in B2B markets.
  • Demonstrated achievements in opening new vertical markets.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving integrated cloud‑based and SaaS platforms.
  • Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary, technical, and engineering teams.

WORK LOCATION

The position is based in Montreal, at SIGMA‑RH’s head office. Regular travel across North America and Europe is required.
